Common Aspect Ratios
- 16:9 (1.77:1): The standard for HDTV, YouTube, and most computer monitors. Common resolutions: 1920x1080, 1280x720.
- 4:3 (1.33:1): Traditional TV standard and older monitors. Common resolutions: 1024x768, 800x600.
- 1:1: Perfect square. Used for Instagram posts and profile pictures.
- 9:16: Vertical video. Used for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- 21:9: Ultra-wide monitors and cinematic movies.
How to use this tool
To Resize: Keep "Lock Ratio" checked. Enter your desired ratio (e.g., 16:9) and then type your new Width. The Height will calculate automatically.
To Find a Ratio: Uncheck "Lock Ratio". Enter your Width and Height (e.g., 1920 and 1080). The tool will simplify the fraction to find the Aspect Ratio (16:9).
